Nonprofit Board Prep Program for Young Professionals
We invite you to increase your leadership role in the Kenosha nonprofit community by participating in YLink’s second annual Nonprofit Board Prep Program. This comprehensive five-week training program is designed for individuals who are interested in serving on nonprofit boards. It was created as an exciting opportunity for participants to leverage their leadership skills – and gain an understanding for what it takes to become successful board members.
The board prep training sessions are led by local community leaders who are experienced in serving on a variety of nonprofit boards within the Kenosha area. Topics will include:
- Overview of nonprofit boards
- Legal and ethical responsibilities
- Financial management
- Strategic planning
All workshop sessions include group and individual work, presentations and case studies – followed by a nonprofit networking opportunity where you could find your next leadership role on a nonprofit board or committee.
The five-session program will take place each Wednesday, October 11- November 8 in the KABA Training Center from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Once your application is complete, please submit your registration and payment here.
Deadline to apply is Monday, October 2.
