Tweeting, posting on Facebook, contributing to LinkedIn discussions, or checking in on Foursquare are great networking tools, but they can only get you so far. If you’re not connecting and interacting in person, you’re missing valuable face time with your peers and potential employers.
Y-Link’s Connect Committee focuses on merging Kenosha’s young professionals to grow their professional network through direct involvement and interaction with others in the community.
Connect series and events not only cater to the interests of our area’s young talent, they also keep you connected and engaged in topics and conversation that impact you the most. Check out the following events to build your personal and professional network:
Raise the Bar
This inventive series challenges us as a community to “raise the bar” in Kenosha. We connect Kenosha YPs, civic leaders and other business professionals to discuss key issues relevant to our community – be it healthcare, entrepreneurship or downtown redevelopment. The Raise the Bar events evoke discussion, educate and offer solutions to overcome challenges.
Time is valuable. Spend it wisely. Simply Social mixers give you the chance to develop a solid rapport with new people you meet, while being efficient. This is career networking at its finest – and fastest – in a casual meet-and-greet setting. Many events are held at great Kenosha venues that you might not know exist, so while you’re getting to know your new best-friend, you can also get to know Kenosha.
